Form And Function

Who told you your body
Should be covered,
Like a dead thing wrapped
In black tarp?
Beauty is a sacred gift
For only one pair of eyes
At a time?
Be thankful for sight.

Be grateful to the forests
Of bare bark and creatures
Naked in their fur–
They show us the way
To appreciate
Form and function.
